A Haughton teen was charged with possession of schedule II after the vehicle he was riding in was stopped for speeding, according to Bossier Parish Sheriff Larry Deen.

Abraham Delgado, 19, of the 400 block of East McKinley Street, was a passenger in a truck that was stopped for speeding. Deputies asked all of the occupants to exit the vehicle. Upon exiting, a clear plastic baggie containing 7 amphetamine pills was seen in plain view on the floorboard of the back right passenger side, the same spot where Delgado had been sitting.

Delgado was read his rights and asked if they pills were his. He admitted to having the pills without a prescription. He also stated that he took the pills from his 10-year-old brother, the prescription holder, without permission and intended them for personal use.

Delgado was arrested and taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. His bond is pending.
