Illegal Pharmaceutical entrepreneur arrested in Bossier

A two- month undercover investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics resulted in the arrest of a Bossier City man and seizure of marijuana, crack cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash. 

        Narcotics Agents with the Bossier City Police Department along with members of the Street Crimes Interdiction Unit arrested William L. Mayfield, 45, of Bossier City Saturday night on charges of distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, illegal possession of a weapon while in possession a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

            Mayfield was arrested at his residence in the 2300 block of Walnut Street after police executed a warrant for his arrest on the distribution of marijuana charge.

        Police added the other charges upon recovering more than two pounds of marijuana, 15 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a handgun from Mayfield’s home. The seized narcotics have a combined street value of $2200. Police also recovered $6000 in cash.

            Mayfield was booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
