Hope Police Department releases warrants, accidents, incidents Jan. 10-16

WARRANTS:

1/10/11          Elnora Whitmore, 37, of Hope, AR – Body Attachment

1/11/11          Lamarris Cole, 28, of Hope, AR – Failure to Comply

                        Geraldine Cogburn, 52, of Nashville, AR – Failure to Comply

1/13/11          Cody Wall, 20, of Hope, AR – Failure to Comply

1/14/11          Willie Benton, 46, of Hope, AR – Failure to Comply

1/16/11          Manuel Gomez, 28, of Hope, AR – Failure to Comply

                        Male, 16, of Hope, AR – Body Attachment

 

ACCIDENTS:

1/12/11          1600 hours in the 2400 block of N. Hervey (Walmart)                       2 vehicle

                        1810 hours in the 1600 block of S. Main                                                               2 vehicle

1/14/11          1800 hours in the 1400 block of N. Hervey (Burger King)                  2 vehicle

 

INCIDENTS:

1/10/11          1452 hours in the 900 block of E. 3rd

                        S – Jennifer Schooley, 38, of Hope, AR

                        Ms. Schooley was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License, No Insurance, Expired Vehicle Tags, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), and a Failure to Comply warrant.

 

                        1825hours in the 700 block of E. 3rd

                        Officers were called to the above location in reference to a residential burglary.  Upon arrival, officers found that an unknown subject entered a residence and removed jewelry sometime between 1630 hours on 1/5/11 and 1730 hours on 1/10/11.  Missing from the residence were six rings, three necklaces, and two bracelets.  The Hope Police Department is investigating.

 

                        2127 hours in the 800 block of N. Hervey

                        S – Jose Rodrigues, 27, of Hope, AR

                        Mr. Rodrigues was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana).

 

                        2140 hours in the 2100 block of N. Hazel (Exxon Tiger Mart)

                        S – Amber May, 27, of Hope, AR

                        S – John Gibson, 27, of Prescott, AR

                        Mr. Gibson and Ms. May were issued citations on 1/12/11 for Theft of Property Under $500 in relation to this incident.

 

1/11/11          0730 hours in the 2600 block of N. Hazel (Village Inn)

                        S – Allie Tittle, 49, of Hope, AR

                        Mr. Tittle was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threatening.

 

                        1617 hours in the 1000 block of N. Bell

                        S – John Poindexter, 53, of Washington, AR

                        Mr. Poindexter was arrested and charged with two counts of Breaking or Entering, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Failure to Appear warrant.  He was also charged with Commercial Burglary and Theft of Property over $500 for an incident that occurred on 1/5/11 at M&J Grocery.

 

                        1847 hours in the 2000 block of S. Main St (Medical Park Hospital)

                        Officers were called to the above location in reference to a theft of property.  Upon arrival, officers found that an unknown subject removed two beige tow straps from the bed of a pickup truck.  The theft occurred sometime between 1700 and 1800 hours on this date.  The Hope Police Department is investigating this incident.

 

1/12/11          1948 hours in the 2400 block of N. Hervey (Walmart)

                        S – Estrilla Poindexter, 27, of Hope, AR

                        Ms. Poindexter was arrested and charged with Battery in the 3rd Degree.

 

1/13/11          0945 hours in the 200 block of E. 3rd

                        S – Sharon Shaffer, 45, of Austin, TX

                        Ms. Shaffer was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication – Drinking in Public.

 

                        1040 hours in the 2400 block of N. Hervey (Walmart)

                        Officers were called to the above location in reference to a theft.  Upon arrival, officers found that a black male subject entered the store and removed two Dell computers from the location at approximately 1940 hours.  This case remains under investigation by the Hope Police Department.

 

                        1918 hours in the 1700 block of W. Avenue C

                        S – Michael Nelson, 40, of Hope, AR

                        S – Laquisha Allen, 29, of Hope, AR

                        Mr. Nelson and Ms. Allen were arrested and charged with Theft of Property under $500.

 

1/14/11          1624 hours in the 1200 block of W. 3rd

                        S – Mark Brinkmeyer, 58, of Hope, AR

                        Mr. Brinkmeyer was arrested and charged with DWI.

 

                        1634 hours – Lobby Call

                        Officers were called to the Lobby of the Hope Police Department regarding a breaking or entering.  Upon arrival, officers found that sometime between 1600 hours on 1/2/11 and 1430 hours on this date, an unknown subject entered a shop located in the 1500 block of S. Spruce and removed property.  Missing from the shop was a refrigerator, a toolbox, assorted tools, two tables, a pair of work boots, and a basketball goal.  The Hope Police Department is investigating this theft.

 

                        1807 hours in the 1300 block of E. 3rd (Neighbor’s)

                        Officers were called to the above location in reference to a theft.  Upon arrival, officers found that there was money missing from a cashier’s bank bag.  This incident remains under investigation by the Hope Police Department.

 

                        2243 hours in the 400 block of N. Walker

                        S – William Brown, 28, of Fulton, AR

                        Mr. Brown was arrested and charged with DWI, Refusal to Submit to a BAC, and Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License.

 

1/15/11          0951 hours in the 600 block of S. Pine

                        Officers were called to the above location in reference to a residential burglary.  Upon arrival, officers found that sometime between 1545 hours on /14/11 and the time of the call, an unknown subject broke a window on the house and entered the residence.  Money was taken from a wallet and the subject fled the scene.  The Hope Police Department is investigating this incident.

 

                        2048 hours in the 800 block of W. Avenue D

                        S – Jeramy Scott, 30, of Hope, AR

                        Mr. Scott was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication – Drinking in Public, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.

 

OTHER:

Glen Cole, Jr., 18, of Hope, AR was arrested by a Deputy with the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office on 1/12/11 at approximately 1630 hours on a warrant for three counts of Forgery in the Second Degree.  The original incident was reported on 12/7/10.
