Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit strikes again

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw today announced that the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit conducted a special operation in Shreveport and Caddo Parish this week, netting 10 felony arrests and six misdemeanor arrests.
Prior to the operation, agents made numerous undercover purchases of narcotics throughout the city of Shreveport and obtained several narcotic search warrants.
These undercover operations came as the result of citizen complaints and intelligence gathered by the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit.
On Jan. 18th and 19th, the Louisiana State Police SRT Unit, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office SRT Unit and the Shreveport Police Department SRT Unit, assisted by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s K-9 and patrol units served 15 search warrants.
The operation was very successful and in addition to the arrests, agents seized approximately 11.9 grams of crack cocaine, 214 grams of marijuana, 3.1 grams of Heroin, assorted controlled pills, and three firearms. This is an ongoing effort and agents expect more arrests at a later date.
