17-year-old suspect charged with second degree murder

Shreveport Police detectives have charged a teenager in connection with a shooting that left a local man fighting for his life. 

   Seventeen-year-old Timothy Kelly surrendered to investigators this morning at the Shreveport Police Complex and subsequently was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted second degree murder.

     Detectives believe Kelly, of the 500 block of East Stoner Avenue in Shreveport shot 19 year old Demarcus Wilson just before 6:00 p.m. last night in the 1300 block of Acorn Street. Wilson was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what has been described as a life-threatening injury but is reported to be in fair condition at this hour.
