Rick Seaton made his way out of the Caddo Parish Correctional Center. He's accused of raping an 18-year-old woman inside Government Plaza on December 27th.
Defense attorney Marty Stroud is representing Seaton. He believes his client will be cleared of all charges.
"The evidence is not been shown, but I feel confident that in the end when all the facts are known and come out," explained Stroud. "Mr. Seaton will hopefully be vindicated."
Stroud said there are two sides to this story and Seaton will get to tell his version soon.
"I don't know what the states case is yet, I've got to look at the state's case," said Stroud. "They're the ones who put together the case. The Shreveport Police Department investigated it the d.a.'s office will prosecute it and I'll defend it."
Seaton surrendered to Shreveport police after several warrants were issued for his arrest.
"It's a very sensitive crime, I can assure you the detectives have been very thorough and worked very closely again with the Caddo Parish district attorney's office."
Seaton's family said the news is disheartening.
"You don't feel like your son is innocent," said Seaton's father. "Do I feel he's innocent yes."
