For the second time in two weeks, the Chase Bank on East 70th has been robbed, and police are looking for suspects in both robberies.

Just moments after 10 this morning, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Chase Bank in the 300 block of East 70th Street relative to a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect, armed with a handgun entered the bank and demanded money from one of the tellers there at gunpoint.

An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect, who subsequently fled the scene. No one was injured during this robbery.

Police investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying and apprehending this bank bandit. He is described as a black male about five feet nine inches to five feet 11 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing dark colored clothing, including a dark green hoodie, and his face was concealed by a black mask of some sort

This same Chase branch was robbed Dec. 16, and detectives are working at this time to determine if the robberies are connected in any way. Anyone with any information regarding this suspect's identity or whereabouts is urged to call Shreveport Police Detective John Jackson at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
