Tracy Dahmer honored

The Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LaFASA) recognized Tracy Dahmer for her outstanding work at their 7th Annual Conference held at Holiday Inn South in Baton Rouge. Dahmer received the prestigious “Leanne Knot Memorial Award” for her significant contribution in the area of prevention and intervention in domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
Attorney General Buddy Caldwell called Dahmer’s work courageous. “Tracy Dahmer is relentless in her efforts to eliminate domestic violence by educating law enforcement and the public. Knowledge gained in her training is creating an awareness of warning signs and providing information about available support,” Caldwell saidl.
The Attorney General’s office, through, Dahmer provides free of charge in-service training programs for Louisiana law enforcement in the proper response to domestic violence incidents. Dahmer has provided domestic violence training for more than 850 law enforcement officers, 200 constables, 600 other agency personnel and employees.
