Eagles Edge Bugs 4-2!

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Bossier-Shreveport hosted the Colorado Eagles for the first time this season on Saturday night at CenturyTel Center. The Eagles playing with a chip on their shoulder after being bounced from the playoffs last season by the Bugs. Both teams exchange power play goals in the first period. Riley Nelson scored first for Colorado, but Forbes MacPherson would answer towards the end of the period. Colorado scored two even strength goals in the second. Ed McGrane converted on a three on two, then Jay Birnie`s shot from the point went in through traffic. Scott Muscutt pulled goaltendeR John DeCaro after Birnie`s goal and Adam Hanna finished the period. Bossier-Shreveport brought it within one as Daniel Pegoraro scored to make it a 3-2 game. Unfortunately Colorado netminder Tim Boron held strong turning away multiple Mudbug chances. Aaron Schneekloth added one more goal on the power play, a shot from the point that beat Adam Hanna through traffic. The Mudbugs lose 4-2 in their final game before the All-Star break.
