Early this afternoon, 23-year-old Cardario Winn surrendered to police at the Shreveport Police Complex, after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest. Winn, of the 2100 block of Linear Street in Shreveport, is accused of the armed robbery at the Family Dollar store in the 2600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
A witness told officers that a male suspect entered the store, produced a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black t-shirt and white shorts with a black rag covering half of his face, received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
Robbery detectives were immediately dispatched and in short order were able to develop a suspect. This morning investigators obtained a warrant for the arrest of 23 year old Cardario Winn charging him with one count of armed robbery.
Winn’s bond was set at $200,000.
