Veteran’s Day Prayer Service

    Major Gen. Floyd Carpenter, commander of the 8th Air Force at Barksdale Air Force Base, will be the guest speaker at St. Joseph School’s Veterans Day prayer service and patriotic flag ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Monday at 1210 Anniston Ave. in Shreveport.

     The annual event  honors active duty and retired military members from more than 100 St. Joseph School families.

     Other participants will include the Color Guard from Barksdale Air Force Base and St. Joseph School students, who will recite poems and sing patriotic songs.      

     The theme of this year’s ceremony is “Let Us Thank God” and is dedicated to deployed military members and their families at St. Joseph School.
