BATON ROUGE - Since going on-sale nationwide to its football fans 24 hours ago, LSU has received an additional 12,000 ticket requests for the Rose Bowl, director of ticket operations Brian Broussard announced on Wednesday afternoon. The additional 12,000 ticket requests runs LSUs ticket total for the Rose Bowl to 28,500. Broussard said LSU has 19,500 ticket requests for the Orange Bowl and another 17,000 for the Capital One Bowl. LSU continues to take new ticket requests for these three bowl games - the Rose, Orange and Captial One - online at LSUsports.net and by phone at (225) 578-2184. Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Credit cards will be charged only when it is determined the bowl game in which LSU will play. Tickets to the Rose Bowl, which will be played January 1 in Pasadena, Calif., are $135 each. Tickets to the Orange Bowl, to be played January 2 in Miami, Fla., are $125 each. Tickets to the Capital One Bowl, to be played January 1 in Orlando, Fla., are $75 each. There will be no initial limits placed on how many tickets can be ordered, but fans are advised that limitations will be put in place if the demand for tickets exceeds the supply available to LSU for any games. LSU football season ticket holders had until November 20 to place orders for post-season tickets based on the LSU Priority Point System, and those orders will take priority over the new applications now being taken. "As always, our season ticket holders have first opportunity to purchase tickets, just like they did at the Final Four and at the College World Series," Bertman said. "Season ticket holders will always get the first and the best seats available."
