If riding around on the "big red truck" is all firefighters had to worry about it really would be a dream job but reality is their work is important in the community. Bossier City`s fire stations are open for the public to come in. Station 9 was on display Sunday. Firefighters gave tours and showed off their suits, trucks and equipment. It is all part of an outreach program established by Chief Sammy Halphen to inform residents of the services offered by the department.
