TULANE'S CHRIS SCELFO TO APPEAR ON ‘BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW' THURSDAY

NEW ORLEANS**, La.-*As part of a week-long media blitz surrounding the Green Wave football teams return to the Louisiana Superdome, head coach Chris Scelfo will be a guest on Fox Sport Networks "Best Damn Sports Show Period" on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Gibson Quad on the Tulane University campus. The show is taping from Tulanes campus through Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. as a lead up to the Green Waves Saturday showdown vs. Conference USA foe SMU, which marks the Green Waves first game in the Superdome since Dec. 4, 2004. Scelfo will be on with host Chris Rose, former NBA star John Salley and former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete. Also on hand for TBDSSP on Thursday will be the musical group Robert Randolph and Friends. Randolph has been named among the 100 greatest guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine and has toured with Eric Clapton and Dave Matthews. The Tulane community and public are invited to attend all tapings. Students wearing Tulane apparel will be spotlighted for the national television coverage. Other guests on hand for the shows three-day stint on campus include New Orleans native and former St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk, New Orleans Saints players Drew Brees and Deuce McAllister and former LSU basketball coach Dale Brown. The Tulane football team will take on SMU at 6:30 p.m. in a game that will be nationally televised on College Sports Television (DirecTV Channel 610, DISH Network Channel 152), and ticket are available for purchase through the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office. The Ticket Office is located on the first floor of the James W. Wilson, Jr. Center. Tickets can be purchased in person, via the telephone at (504) 861-WAVE or via the internet at www.TulaneGreenWave.com. In addition, single-game tickets are also available via Ticket Master at www.TicketMaster.com and at all Ticket Master outlets.
