The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with CB Josh Lay, it was announced today by Executive Vice-President/General Manager Mickey Loomis. Selected in the sixth-round (174th overall) in Aprils NFL Draft, Lay appeared in 46 career games at the University of Pittsburgh. Lay (6-foot-1, 197 pounds), earned first-team All-Big East honors as a senior and started his final 17 contests with the Panthers. Over his four-year career, he compiled 93 tackles (81 solo), seven interceptions and recovered a pair of fumbles. Lay is the second 2006 Saints draft choice to agree to terms, joining seventh-round pick WR Marques Colston, who signed a three-year deal last week.
