The Fort Worth Cats won for the second straight night over the Shreveport Sports, winning Saturday 7-1 at Fair Grounds Field. Like Friday, Fort Worth scored early with a run in the second inning and held a 1-0 lead until the sixth when they added an unearned run to make it 2-0. After the Cats had increased their lead to 3-0 in the seventh, the Sports finally scored on a two-out single by Tommy Bryant that scored Enohel Polanco, who had doubled. Fort Worth put the game away in the eighth scoring three times, two of the runs coming on a two-run home run by Palmer Karr. Shreveport had several opportunities in the game to score, but couldnt get the big hit off Fort Worth starter Cory Walters, who picked up his seventh victory of the season. The Sports will try to salvage the final game of the three-game series with Fort Worth Sunday at Fair Grounds Field. Game time 6:05 pm.
