Stoker sets QB-receivers camp July 15-16

NATCHITOCHES - Applications are still being accepted for the July 15-16 Purple Swarm Quarterback and Receivers Football Camp, hosted by coach Scott Stoker at Northwestern State`s Turpin Stadium. A deposit of $50 per camper is required in advance until the camp sells out. The deposit is included in the camp fee, which is $125 for day campers and $175 for overnight campers, with housing at the Comfort Inn of Natchitoches. Fees cover instruction, meals, housing for overnight campers, insurance and a camp T-shirt. Call 318-663-5701 to register. Stoker, who broke passing records at NSU set by future Saints star quarterback Bobby Hebert, is about to start his fifth season as head coach at his alma mater. Stoker`s Demons already have broken four NCAA records, 10 Southland Conference marks and 32 school records, including single-season marks for scoring and total offense. He has led Northwestern to a pair of Division I-AA playoff appearances, the 2004 Southland Conference championship and a 28-19 record with no losing seasons in four years.
