Updated: January 7, 2009
The Houston Astros will hold their seventh annual Bilingual Baseball Clinics on Thursday, July 6, and Friday, July 7, at the Boys & Girls Club Shell Unit. The clinics are part of a series of three (including, Thursday, Aug. 10) that the Astros, Kraft Foods, ARAMARK and the Minute Maid Company are sponsoring in 2006 that target underprivileged Hispanic children in and around Houston. At the clinics, children will be taught the fundamentals of the game by baseball instructor Mike Harris and his players from the Miracles Baseball Academy. Afterwards, players will meet with the children to answer questions and sign autographs. The children and the instructors will also have lunch provided by Kraft Foods and ARAMARK and drinks from the Minute Maid Company. Media are encouraged to cover this event. Credentials are not required.
