Health Authorities Respond to Flu Threat

First responders and government agencies got together in Shreveport Thursday to discuss their emergency plans in the event there is another flu outbreak like the one in 1918 that killed more than 50 million people worldwide.
Health officials say the issue came to the forefront again because of the threat of bird flu. They say while the threat is not as serious as it was in the early 1900`s, it does have people thinking about a possible pandemic.
