Texas & TCU to begin Super Regional Friday

AUSTIN, Texas -- The NCAA announced dates for the 2010 Austin Super Regional, and Texas found out its best-of-three series against TCU will begin Friday, June 11 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The first pitch for Friday’s game is set for 2 p.m. Central, and the game will be televised live on ESPN2HD. Saturday’s game is slated for 12 p.m. with television booked for ESPNHD. If necessary, Sunday’s game will start at 3 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNHD.

The Longhorns faced TCU last season in the Austin Super Regional with Texas winning the series 2-games-to-1.

Tickets are already sold out for the three-game series.

The winner of the Austin Super Regional advances to the College World Series which is set for June 19-30 at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
