Shreveport City Council Confirms Chief Administrative Officer

The Shreveport City Council Tuesday repealed an ordinance that required department heads to live in the city and then confirmed the appointment of the city`s Chief Administrative Officer.
Newly appointed Tom Dark will be able keep the job and live in his home south of the Shreveport city limits.
Only council member Joe Shyne spoke out against the repeal.
He said the situation is the same as if Shyne were to live outside his district but expect district residents to vote for him anyway.
There was one other department head confirmation at Tuesday`s council meeting. Bonnie Moore was named Director of Community Development.
