Shreveport City Council Will Vote On Residency Ordinance

Tuesday the Shreveport city council plans to vote on an ordinance that will affect department heads within city government.
The vote is basically to decide whether or not the chief administrative officer Tom Dark can live outside the city limits. Right now there is no major opposition to the ordinance. Most council members plan to support the mayor`s choice.
Dark says regardless of what the council decides he does not plan to resign to the position or leave his current home. Dark has already agreed to pay property taxes in Shreveport even if he lives outside the city.
