The reward set up to catch the killer of Herby K`s owner John Bean has gone up to $20,000. Members of the Randall Knife Society joined with several citizens to provide the extra funds. Bean was killed July 28th when a masked gunman entered the store, demanding money, and getting into an altercation with Bean. Bean was shot and killed during that altercation. So far, detectives have worked several leads in the case, but with no luck. Anyone giving information that leads to the arrest of John Bean`s killer is eligible for the reward as well as the $1,000 Crimestoppers reward. Anyone willing to add to the reward account can do so at First Louisiana Bank in the name of the John Bean Reward Account.
