Webster Parish Man Sentenced for Killing Teen

A Webster Parish man will spend 8 years in prison for killing his daughter`s 19-year-old boyfriend. Almer Odom was sentenced Monday in Webster Parish court. Odom said he told the victim, Lakelvin Manning, to stay away from his 16-year-old daughter. Odom found Manning hiding in a closet, and said Manning attacked him before odom shot him. Odom faced up to 40-years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
