Coach Arrested For Molesting Student

Shreveport Sex Crimes detectives arrested a Southwood High School coach this afternoon on a charge of molestation of a juvenile. Joseph Barbee, 34, of Shreveport was arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student at the school. Barbee and the student reportedly had an ongoing relationship that dates back to November of 2005. Barbee is being booked into the Shreveport City Jail. Because his charge is a felony, he will be transferred to Caddo Correctional Center. Bond has been set at $125,000.
