breaking news
A portion of westbound Interstate 20 near Hearne Avenue will be closed for a short time Sunday morning to allow for crash investigators to reconstruct the scene of a fatal accident that occurred there in December.
It is currently unknown how many lanes will be closed, but traffic will still flow along the interstate, although very slowly, between the hours of 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. this Sunday. The accident under investigation involved an 18-wheeler rear-ending a Lincoln resulting in the death of a 4-month-old boy and the critical injuring of his mother.
Drivers who normally drive westbound along Interstate 20 on Sunday mornings are asked to avoid the area.
