New Year Begins With Multiple Shootings In Shreveport

2007 begins with a violent start. Shreveport police say shots broke out at 2 different locations Monday morning. The first happened just before 1:30 a.m. at "Disco 9000" in the 3700 block of Hollywood Avenue. Authorties say a man was shot in the chest following an argument. Meanwhile 33-year-old Dennis Walpool was arrested in connection to the shooting. Also, another shooting broke out just before 2:00 a.m. at "Preps` Cutts" hair salon in the 3700 block of Lakeshore. 29-year-old Antonio Evans was there during a New Year party and was shot in the leg. So far no arrests have been made in this case.
