Tuesday agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a house in the 900 block of Jefferson Place. Once inside, they found more than 60 pounds of marijuana, three handguns and an AK 47 assault rifle. They also found 35-year-old Quincy Dias. He was arrested and taken to Shreveport City Jail for possession of marijuana and intent to distribute. "We know this particular fellow was selling to a lot of people in that area. And with 60 pounds of marijuana he was supplying to a good number of people."said Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator. Agents believe Dias was selling large quantities to other street level dealers in the area. And he may have been getting his supply from sources in Texas. "This guy was moving a lot of weed. So he had his sources out there," said Shreveport Police Captain Mark Holley. "He was like the Wal-Mart warehouse for marijuana here." The case is still under investigation and Dias could end up facing additional charges in the future.
