Nintendo Responds To Wii Breakages
(Tokyo) - Responding to complaints that they break too easily, Nintendo says it will replace all broken straps for its Wii gaming console.
The strap is connected to a motion sensitive remote that is used to control the on-screen action.
According to "BBC News," the announcement comes after numerous reports about the straps breaking during usage, leading to the controller flying out of users hands and smashing TVs and windows.
Nintendo says the straps don`t present a problem if they`re used correctly, but will still replace all broken ones free of charge.
In addition the company says all new Wiis will come with an "enhanced" strap which shouldn`t be as prone to breaking.
The console has been a huge hit, selling more than 600-thousand units sold in the U.S. and more than 400-thousand in Japan.
