breaking news
You may recall, a hunter found a body Saturday morning on Elysian Fields road in Caddo Parish just off Highway 80.
Caddo Deputies say the vehicle used during the killing belongs to Rocky Leone, one of four men arrested in the murder of Troy Killough. The suspects and the victim were in the 1996 Chevy Tahoe around the time of Killough`s death.
It was located on property out in Caddo parish that belongs to one of Leone`s relatives.
The four men are accused of beating Killough in front of a residence on Canal Street, then driving him to Elysian Fields Road. Deputies say the suspects dragged Killough out of the Tahoe, shot him several times and left him for dead. Investigators feel the keys to this case are in the Tahoe.
"Right now our crime scene investigators are processing the vehicle used in the homicide over the weekend for any credible evidence we need in order to successfully prosecute."
Detective Michael Escude says genetic evidence was also recovered from the vehicle. They also found damage to the left front side, leading detectives to believe reports the suspects were involved in some sort of traffic incident on their way to the crime scene.
