Fatality Reported on Barksdale Air Force Base

A non-Department of Defense civilian fatality was reported at Barksdale Air Force Base Wednesday night. Barksdale emergency responders and the Bossier Parrish Fire Department responded to a natural gas line fire near an unpopulated area of East Reservation of the base at approximately 5:20 p.m. Were told it is a Chesapeake Energy site. The fire is under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
