Polar bear plunges are a tradition in some northern cities, where hearty folks take a dip on New Year's Day...but in south Florida? One Miami area radio station does an annual promotion inviting listeners to join one of their disc jockeys for a dip on the coldest day of the year. This was the day, and with air temperatures in the 30s dozens of people ran into the ocean in Fort Lauderdale.
