Federal Grant to Help Keep Service High in Oklahoma

(Oklahoma City) -- A four-point-six-million-dollar federal grant is on the way to keep 42 Oklahoma homeless programs operating.

Oklahoma Citys share of about 830-thousand-dollars will be used for shelters, housing projects and a health-care program. Officials said the grants will make certain "those programs on the front lines of helping the homeless have the resources they need to house and serve persons who might otherwise be forced to turn to the streets."
