Shreveport Police Detectives arrested a 24-year-old Shreveport woman on one count of forgery after trying to pass a check on the account of the Mayor Cedric Glover Transition and Inaugural Fund. Katrina Sullivan of the 2000 block of Grimmett Drive is accused of passing or trying to pass at least five checks valued at $4,184.50. Sullivan was arrested at Capital One in the 1900 block of North Market about 10:30 this morning when she tried to cash an $1,800 check. The checks had been reported stolen, so the police were notified and she was taken into custody. Besides checks written for cash, some checks were passed at Albertson`s, Wal-Mart and K-Mart. Detectives Jason Person and Greg Rudell are investigating the case to see if any other checks were passed on the account.
