Funeral services were held Tuesday morning for Private Joshua Cain Burrows. After graduating from Bossier High, he joined the army in 2005. Based out of Ft.Hood,TX Burrows was deployed to Iraq in late October. Just over a month later he was killed when the vehicle he was riding in was hit by an improvised explosive device. "That`s what he wanted to do. He wanted to serve our country and he did it proudly. And I believe he was proud of himself. And I know his friends and his family we are all proud of him," said friend and fellow service member PFC Samuel Collins. Burrows was buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Red River Parish. He leaves behind a wife and an infant son. Burrows is the 18th Louisiana service member to die in combat this year.
