Class Act: Stacey Henry

Stacey Henry studies hard, making A's and B's at Fair Park High School.  She is also a DECA student, attributing her success to others.


"I have alot of people help me along the way and I'm thankful for it. My mom has encouraged me to do anything that I want to do and she's stuck by me as a single parent and she's behind me all the way" Henry says.

When she is not in school, she out of the classroom, working hard in extra curriculars. The senior is in student government association, future business leaders of america, captain of the softball team and in the spanish club.

"I've had good role models along the way and I've had alot of encouragement and I feel as though I should give back as well" she says.

Henry wants to be a physician or pediatrician but is unsure what school she will attend after high school graduation.

Police arrest suspect in stabbing

An argument between two brothers ends with a stabbing in the cedar grove neighborhood.

it happened shortly after 11 this morning at the corner of 73rd and southern avenue in shreveport.

police say 26 year old edward bouya was stabbed in the chest by his 16 year old brother.

bouya was taken to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries..

his brother is charged with aggravated battery... His name is being with held because he is a minor..
