Shreveport Mayor Doubles Armed Robbery Task Force

In an effort to stop holiday crime mayor Glover announced he`s doubling the size of the Shreveport police department`s armed robbery task force. To make that possible, Glover authorized the department to use an additional twenty eight thousand dollars from reserve funds. The task force kicked off on October 16th to help fight the spike in armed robberies in the city. The mayor says the task force has made several robbery arrests. The extra officers will be used for surveillance teams to continue making progress.
