Shreveport Police Needs Volunteers

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Shreveport police department is searching for citizens who can help them keep neighborhoods safe. Lately they`ve had trouble finding auxiliary officers. Don Dalton is one of the people who volunteers his free time to help the Shreveport police department. Dalton has been an auxiliary officer with Shreveport pd for the past twelve years. As a volunteer he directs traffic, writes parking tickets and patrols his neighborhood. Right now the Shreveport police department has 19 auxilary officers, but they are having a difficult time recruiting more. Police try to generate interest in the program at neighborhood meetings, recently they haven`t had much luck.
