Two people were arrested Sunday night for shooting a Caddo Sheriff`s patrol unit with a pellet rifle. Deputy James Houston was on patrol in the 4700 block of North Lakeshore around 10:30 Sunday night when he heard something strike the driver`s side of his patrol unit. Houston pulled to a safe location to check the damage and noticed the lower portion of his door had been shot. Houston called for help and returned to the area to look for suspects. Deputies canvassed the area and learned that 2 suspects had entered the woods with a pellet rifle. During the search, deputies announced that a K-9 would be released in the area if the suspects did not emerge from the woods. A short time later, the suspects exited the woods. 18-year-old Johnathan Richard of Keithville and a 15-year-old girl were arrested for aggravated obstruction of a highway, criminal property damage, and resisting. Richard also was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Richard was booked into Caddo Correctional Center, and the girl was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
