Classes To Resume Thursday For Lakeshore Elementary

It all started around 3:00 a.m., when police say a man driving a black pick-up truck kidnapped a woman near the corner of Mansfield & West 70th Street. The suspect then drove the woman to her grandfather's house on Millicent Way. That's where the man dropped the woman off and robbed her grandfather, according to Shreveport authorities.
After the robbery the victims called police. A chase then ensued, officers followed the man to the intersection of Lakeshore & San Jacinto. That is where the suspect crashed his vehicle into another car, injuring the driver. The suspect is now in police custody. His name has not yet been released.
When the cars collided they hit a gas line, leaving the community without gas and electricity. The power outage prompted the closing of Lakeshore Elementary.
