Madoff Investor Found Dead In Swimming Pool

(Palm Beach, FL) -- A man who made more than seven-billion dollars on investments with confessed swindler Bernard Madoff has been found dead in his swimming pool in Palm Beach, Florida. The body of 67-year-old Jeffery Picower was found at the bottom of the pool by his wife Sunday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Picower reportedly suffered from heart ailments and Parkinsons disease. Police are conducting a routing drowning investigation. Picower, a pal of Madoff, was under federal probe. U.S. prosecutors are trying to figure out if he knowingly profited from Madoffs $65-billion Ponzi scheme. Picower was named in a lawsuit to recover money for unwitting investors who were cheated. He was also in negotiations with a court-appointed trustee to give some of the money back. Picower was said the be the biggest beneficiary of the Madoff swindle.
