Fatal Accident on I-20

A pedestrian was killed last night while crossing I-20. At around 10:22 pm Shreveport Police were called to an accident on the east bound side of the interstate. 56 year old Herbert Cherry was driving an 18 wheeler that struck the victim. Cherry called 911 and reported the accident and waited for police to arrive. The victim was a black male between 60 and 65 years old. He was wearing dark clothing and had no identification. Caddo Parish officials are working to identify the victim. Cherry was not charged, but the investigation still continues.
