Rain Causing Traffic Delays

The rain is causing traffic flow problems this morning. Many minor accidents have been reported in Shreveport and Bossier. One major accident in Bossier at Benton Road and I-220 has caused minor traffic congestion. One person from that accident was transported to the hospital, no word on the condition of the person. Here are some tips for driving safely in the rain:
*Allow for more travel time.
*Brake earlier and with less force.
*Do not use your cruise control.
*Turn on your headlights.
*Tap on your brake pedal lightly.
*If you hydroplane, don’t brake suddenly or the wheel.
