No cell phones while driving.
To many in Louisiana, that would be unimaginable.
To the head of the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, it would be a positive move.
Jim Champagne says he does not belive a state law would do much good because "you can`t legislate common sense." However, Champagne says he will bring the issue up to lawmakers and see how they might address it.
There were seven deaths and 22-hundred injuries last year in Louisiana as a result of cell phone use while driving.
