Superintendent Gary VanDeaver says the week off appears to have helped everyone get well.  Attendance had been at an all time low.  Now, attendance is at 92%.  At Crestview Elementary, the old fashioned hand shake is out, at least for now.  Students and teachers use the so called "fist bump" as a greeting.  The idea is to reduce hand-to-hand contact to prevent the spread of germs.  Teachers are also holding regular hand washing  demonstrations to keep kids healthy.
