breaking news
Rain or shine, a special delivery had to be unloaded Sunday in Bossier City. Members of Ashbury United Methodist Church braved the rain for a holiday tradition.
Loretta Beagley says "This is the wettest day ever. Its never rained on pumpkin patch unloading day. But Im so proud of our church family because everyone is here in their ponchos or not in their ponchos."
3,000 pumpkins arrived by truck for the annual pumpkin patch at the church. The patch opens Monday and lasts until Halloween.
The pumpkins range from 50-cents to $18. Proceeds go towards church mission projects.
