What a difference a day makes. Especially when it comes to attendance at the Red River Revel in downtown Shreveport. The rain slowed the pace at the festival Sunday which was a complete turn around from Saturday night when hundreds were in attendence. Organizers are offering free admission Sunday night for the festival. Despite the rain, food vendors kept sizzling. They offered brisket eggrolls, BBQ parfaits and roasted corn. These concoctions are part of the allure in coming to the annual arts festival. If you think this festival food is bizarre, you are not alone. Even some of the chefs were suprised how these treats came about. Revel vendor Lauren Chandler says "I thought it was a strange idea at first but once I tried it I found out it was great." More than 25 vendors will be serving up the festival favorites until next Saturday.
