breaking news
Thursday afternoon Shreveport police went door to door to try an curb crime in a North Shreveport neighborhood.
Residents who live at the Northwood Lake apartments have complained about loud music loitering and even drug dealing at the complex. In an effort to stop the criminal activity police met and greeted residents asking them to participate in a neighborhood watch program. Many of them were happy to see the officers.
Residents believe that with help from Shreveport police the complex might just become a safer place. Police are also holding a town hall meeting in the neighborhood on November 15th at 5:45pm at the Shreve Memorial library. They encourage the public to attend.
