Pleasant Grove's key to success against H1N1 flu is the proactive stance it took at the start of the school year. Teachers and school nurses have drilled it home to students and parents about how to stop the spread of H1N1. There are signs reminding students to wash hands frequently, cough into their elbows, and stay home if they are sick. The advice seems to be working. Several of the sick students have since recovered and returned to school. Others are being kept home until they no longer show symptoms of the flu.
