Serena Williams Meltdown Costs Her Spot In Open Finals

(New York, NY) -- Itll be Caroline Wozniacki and Kim Clijsters in Sunday nights womens final at the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows. However, the talk of the tournament is still all about Serena Williams and her far-from-serene meltdown in Saturdays semifinal. Williams took exception with a line judge over a foot fault called on a second serve and unleashed a verbal tirade. The judge took it up with the chair umpire, who gave Williams a point penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. That was on match point and gave Clijsters the victory.
